About Me

The Guy

“After hours, I’m a guy who enjoys dark comedy and drama films, books that change me, traveling, meeting people with passion, and indulging in life.”

I was born and raised in Idaho so; naturally, I enjoy hiking, skiing, swimming, and nature. But I also enjoy urban life, music, and watching movies.

In 2009, I will graduate from the University of Idaho, receiving a degree in Child, Family, and Consumer Studies (emphasis in family life). I’m passionate about a lot of things, so I studied art, film, and religious studies on the side. Not to suggest that they’re topics that should be on the side.

I’m a big believer that favorites say a lot about a person so here’s one of those ubiquitous lists.

Bread & Butter

“When it comes down to business, I can work well individually or in teams, be a leader or a follower. I have two vivid passions: producing art with photography and graphic design and improving the well-being of individuals, families, and communities through family life and sustainability.”

I am interested in several areas of research, including LGBT studies, work and family issues, intimate relationships, consumer and economic issues, risk and resiliency in youth, sustainability, and violence in families. After my undergrad career, I plan to continue my education with a graduate degree in Family Studies or gain direct professional experience in the field working with at-risk youth in suicide prevention, substance abuse, and domestic violence in families.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

I put this site up to display a variety of interests – there are no magical themes or reasons. I consider it a “tumblelog” where I post photos, quotes, videos, and original content about, well, anything. It’s that simple.

Jacob Theo is styled with Bloglet, XHTML and CSS, hosted by (mt), and powered by WordPress. The site was designed using a 13-inch MacBook Intel Core 2 Duo running Mac OS X 10.5 and two 16-ounce soy mochas.

For the photos I shoot with a Canon PowerShot G9 and touch up with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
