Juno was so real, warm, and funny. It won't win Best Picture (like Little Miss Sunshine last year) and like you said, the Academy loves drama. Ellen Page was the best part of the film, hands down.

It'll be between There Will Be Blood (haven't seen yet) and No Country for Old Men (haven't seen yet.) I recommend Atonement though.

I love talking about movies! :)

Not bad. Although, I've heard "Juno" compared to last years feel good film "Little Miss Sunshine" and this is why "Juno" won't win. It's been said again and again, but the Academy likes serious, dramatic films and while "Juno" has elements of drama and seriousness it doesn't play that way in the previews. It looks like a simple teen movie and for those voters that haven't seen "Juno" they will vote based on the previews. It's actually much more than a simple teen flick. While I did like this film I have a hard time placing it in the best picture category. What really made me enjoy "Juno" was the performance of Ellen Page as the title character. She certainly deserved the Oscar nod she got. An interesting side note about "Juno" is that it was written by a former stripper. Ha! This is her first film and she wrote it on her laptop at a Starbucks located in a Target. It took her a year to write and the script went virtually unchanged once purchased by the studio.

"Michael Clayton" has even less of a chance of winning than "Juno" does. That's all on that.

My prediction for the big winner is "There Will Be Blood." This is Paul Thomas Anderson's masterpiece; at least that is what all the critics are saying. Daniel Day Lewis gives another Oscar worthy performance; at least that is what all the critics are saying. The Academy will vote this movie in because that is what all the critics are saying.

That is a great top 10 list. It looks as though you are being influenced by a musical aficionados. Maybe your rom-coms and Oscar dramas will creep up on my top 10 list!
