Just yesterday I started playing with several RSS readers and settled with Vienna because it is free. The more popular aggregator, NetNewsWire, was released free today by NewsGator. Looks like I will be using it from now on.
Other software from NewsGator, including their NewsGator Online and FeedDemon (Windows version) were also released for free. If you already purchased any of those products, you are eligible for a refund.
Head on over to NewsGator and download NetNewsWire 3.1 today. The newer version features an updated UI with new toolbar icons, performance enhancements, and an option to archive any news article in HTML format to view offline. After playing with it for a few minutes, I have decided that it is 5x better than Vienna.
